I’m Taryn, a lifelong creative, and now registered Art Therapist (ATR) and licensed professional counselor (LPC). My mind is always creating new ideas and finding more ways to make art making more accessible and meaningful.

In my past life I was a public school teacher who reached burnout far too early, so the work I share is from a lens of truly understanding the joy and struggle of being a big-hearted person in a helping profession.

In this community I share my journey as an artist (a title I’ve had a long journey to finally claim), bits of my story as a mental health professional, and - most importantly - actionable, arts-based ideas, activities and resources to support others on their creative art and wellness path.

If you identify as a creative (or creative-admiring) person, are inspired by a life with more art, and are a helping professional, caregiver, or a big-hearted person in general, this is the right spot for you.

My hope is that what I share leaves you feeling a little less alone, a little more inspired, and ready to explore where art might fill up your heart.
